Why Is It So?
Why do we doze when it’s time to pray,
But binge-watch shows for hours each day?
And laugh and share the rude ones fast?
Why is the Bible hard to read,
Yet stories online fill every need?
Why scroll past God without a glance,
But share rude jokes at every chance?
Why does the Bible feel so dull?
Why grow quiet when faith comes near,
But shout for stars we barely hear?
Why are our prayers short and fast,
But nights at the club seem built to last?
Think about it.
Why do we cheer for those on screen,
But treat the cross like it’s unseen?
Why hide our faith to fit the crowd,
When God has called us to stand proud?
Will you stay quiet to keep your place?
Will you ignore this, move on by,
Afraid of what friends might imply?
But hear these words, both clear and true—
“If you deny Me, I’ll deny you.”
Do you worry about what friends might say?
On Judgment Day, the choice will show.
So ask yourself: why is it so?
