Take a walk

Take a walk
Dear friend, it’s time to face
the fact that life is not a chase
and though it may seem out of place
slow and steady wins the race.

The world is full of beauty
a treasure trove to see
from mountaintops to endless sea
the sights are there to set you free

Take a deep breath and find your calm
let the rhythm of life be your balm
embrace the stillness, let it embalm
your soul, your heart, your every qualm

And if the journey seems too long
remember that you are strong
you have the power to belong
to the world and its joyful song

So keep your head up and your heart light
let your spirit take to flight
with each step, you gain new sight
and the world becomes ever so bright.
