Contemplations

Contemplations

How wondrous is the season’s gilded hue,
a testament to the Maker’s power and grace!
The trees stand adorned, colors vibrant and true,
Even the humblest creatures raise songs in praise.
As nature renews with each passing season,
man alone grows weary, all laid low by time,
a solemn reminder of our failed reason,
and boundless eternity—God of mine.

Oh! Beauty of spring, summer, autumn, and winter,
each within it’s own the marvel of nature’s splendors
as I reflect on the eternal presence of God in all,
Oh! cyclical renewal of nature—connects us to roots,
not in least, the inevitable mortality of mankind.
