a different voice persisted.
It whispered in diaries,
in bloodied margins,
in lullabies no textbook transcribes.
This book is a reckoning.
Each poem here is a resurrection—
of women who dared, who endured,
who shattered barriers with ink, hands, and flame.
Some were queens, some were scientists,
some were sisters, mothers, artists, ghosts.
All were real. All were worthy.
Herstory is not the opposite of history.
It is the restoration of it—
the missing note in a centuries-old song.
Walk with them.
Read with reverence, with rage, with recognition.
This is one voice—for many.
And it will not be silenced.
