A Circle of Sonnets of Faith

Let courage lift the lowly high.
Christians wept, yet still all knew
For all who live, and all who die,
truth will pierce the darkness through.

When Jesus spoke, his words clear,
Of visions to tell what would be done
He gave this truth, for all to hear
after the grim trials are run.

God’s angels, lift us without strain,
to a garden vast with flowers rare,
Released from earth and all bitter pain,
The hosts of heaven, wondrous fair,

Unbound and steadfast in their stand.
To warn of the judgment at hand.

To warn of the judgment at hand.
in feast they share the night before,
Bold in speech, that they understand
Their words were fierce, of God implore,

Tomorrow comes, though the devil scorns,
we find God’s strength when faced with hate.
God remember swell, when we mourn,
For God decides each mortal fate.

Though trials and tears tear us apart,
hardship can’t steal our God given crown.
when steadfast faith holds victory in our heart.
Though martyr’s blood does trickle down.

Yet Heaven’s will soothed all strain.
The Lord sustains, eases all pain.

The Lord sustains, eases all pain.
Fearless, as Christians we stand tall,
The devils trials, are all vain
Through Jesus, in faith we shall not fall,

When faced with pain both sick and dire,
Jesus gives us faith to be bold.
Unbroken still, we face the fire,
our faith shines brighter to behold.

Though torn, bruised, dignity remains,
In Jesus we find our resolve.
No pain can steal the truth we claim,
God’s honor firm, does not dissolve.

To those who watch let us be sublime
God’s love unshaken, faith divine.

God’s love unshaken, faith divine.
Though enemies enraged, though bodies torn,
We find our strength to hold the line.
With dignity and grace our paths adorn.

Yet sometimes we fall, by sorrow pressed,
Jesus reaches forth his hand to raise.
Together we stand, through trial manifest,
A bond unbroken, steadfast in our gaze.

For when we give up our spirit
as Jesus did before
knowing death, we need not fear it
with grace, were led to heaven’s door.

A pledge of faith and memory entwined.
A soul released, to glory now assigned.

A soul released, to glory now assigned.
Jesus gave, now crimson with his pain,
yet by death ours souls are not maligned
for he met the lance without disdain.

Christians stand, some spared from death’s demand,
Christians bold, declared their fate and show,
that trials prepared at evil’s own command,
though Satan struck, and blood began to flow.

The master pierced and we reach trembling hand,
like doubting Thomas in our mortal strife.
Our will unbroken, we take our final stand,
Our name is sealed in everlasting life.

For all who live, and all who die,
let courage lift the lowly high.
