Whimsical Tangle of What Everyone Said
On Ning Nang Nong, in the land of Bumbley Boo,
Stood Pilp Lebar, as dreams wandered through,
he spoke in silly poems “Bongaloo!”
“Oojah-ka-Piv,” as down the stream, swans flew.
“Mirror, Mirror, what secrets do you keep?
My Sister, Bazonka, tells stories so deep.
A combustible woman from Thang, so bright,
She lit up the skies with her fiery might.”
Pussy-cat pranced, the Scorflufus did sing,
“So fair is she,” the poems did ring.
“I’m talking backwards for Christmas,” he said,
“The words I write, oh, they dance in your head.”
“Look at all those monkeys!” someone declared,
Maverick Me, found adventure ensnared.
“Go North, South, East, and West, young man,”
Said Granny, waving her spoon with a plan.
“Goodbye, S.S. Granny!” the sailors cried,
Halved Hamlet pondered, he said while beside,
“I must go down to the South Sea again,
Where waves serenade lovers with joyful refrain.”
Father Thames murmured, his voice deep and old,
“Feelings go everywhere, or so I’m told.”
Jumbo jets roar across the skies,
While letters form words that surprise.
Soldier Freddy stood tall, brave, and steady,
While the world waited, both weary and ready.
Teeth flashed as tales he boldly told.
“Summer dawn broke, soft and gold,
While dog lovers gathered, their joy profound.
The marched with their hounds, a rhythmic sound!”
The lion roared, the soldiers marched,
Through skies with holes—the onlookers—parched.
Two children laughed, their eyes alight,
Unto us all came silly poems and stories all right.
