We are not saved, strengthened, or sustained by our own reasoning
or effort, but by God’s grace through faith in Christ.
Upheld by Grace Not By My Strength
The soul is not its own defense,
Though reason tries to build a wall.
Yet faith receives, through providence,
A strength beyond the self-made call.
O let your help be heaven-born,
Your strength not drawn from self alone.
For those who lean on Christ, though worn,
Will stand upheld before the throne.
Proverbs 3:5 (“Lean not on your own understanding”)
Critique the limitations of human logic as spiritual armor.
—faith receiving what reason cannot summon—
2 Corinthians 12:9 – “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Jude 1:24 – “To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless…”
