Poems in a Teacup
Ah, the spark that flares, then hides—
A muse that dances, sways, and glides,
Upon the edge of thought it gleams,
Then drifts into my inkwell dreams.
By moonlit hush, I pen my song,
Each line like petals pulled along,
They bloom upon the page so light,
A fragrant verse in silver night.
My teacup warmed by quiet hand,
It drank the words I’d softly planned,
Each sip became a secret kept,
A composed line where sad eyes wept.
And now I pass this cup to you,
With petals steeped in twilight’s dew,
May fragrance speak and stir your soul,
And make the scattered pieces whole.
Raise high your cup—be it chipped or fine,
With rose-sweet steam or steeped in brine,
Let every poem steep and steep—
Then drink the dreams you wish to keep.
