A prayer for my eldest

My daughter, as a child, danced with glee,
My daughter, spirit shining bright,
A beacon of pure energy,
Guiding me through the darkest night.
My daughter, once full of spirit, she lit my path,
A beacon of hope, dispelling all wrath,

But now, with children by her side,
Torn and confused, she walks alone,
Yearning for that light inside,
Lost in a world that’s not her own.
In the twilight of life, yearning to give back what she once knew,
If only I could guide her, show her what’s true.

Yet God is kind, and He bestows, a chance to seek His warm embrace,
To find forgiveness, How wondrous the news, the saving grace,
Yet tears fill her eyes, loneliness resides,
Lost in a world where judgment presides,
God, offers forgiveness, daily, and his mercy sets us free.
The truth she once held deep within, Oh, how I long to make her see

No one can judge, for we all fall short,
In life’s journey, we all have fought,
The Devil’s lies, that spread like night,
But Jesus has freed us to seek the light.
In sin’s enslavement, we need not remain,
For Christ’s love, redemption’s sweet refrain,

I forgive as God forgives,
As I’m forgiven every day,
For judgment’s not how love now lives,
It’s in His truth we find our way.
The path of repentance, forgiveness, and love,
The Holy Spirit’s guidance, sent from above.

Together, in truth, let our hearts unite, spirits entwined,
In God’s redeeming love, and solace I pray she will find.
And the lies the Devil slyly weaves,
Will not define her, nor define her worth,
For Jesus, who the captive frees,
Declares her precious from her birth.

Lord, help me be that loving light,
For her, my daughter, whom I cherish,
To guide her through the darkest night,
And help her soul from pain to flourish.
Lord, help me be that beacon of hope,
In her darkest hours, Jesus, help her to cope.
With love overflowing, unyielding and pure,
For my daughter.
