I am not 1 that numbers my words, however, How can Love + Like = Hate?

(This is a fun one that is also in The Poet and the Mathematician)

I am not 1 that numbers my words, however, How can Love + Like = Hate?

I am not 1 that numbers my words,
Yet this equation, my mind unfurls.
Love Plus like equals hate, they say,
But how can this be? I’ll find a way.

With clues in hand, I embark on the quest,
To solve this riddle, put doubts to rest.
Every number from zero to nine,
Except for one, in this equation align.

Love and Like, a dichotomy we know,
But how can they merge and create such woe?
Clues whisper secrets, hidden in disguise,
Unraveling the truth, as wisdom implies.

E, a solitary figure, distinct it appears,
Unable to divide itself, it perseveres.
H, an even number, steady and strong,
A balance it brings, as we journey along.

Number sequences with sums less than ten,
E + E, V + K, O + I, and L + L, we pen.
In this enigma’s depths, a pattern we trace,
L + L is half of H, revealing its embrace.

One number in question, nowhere in sight,
Yet its absence compels, igniting our might.
Clue by clue, the puzzle pieces align,
V stands as six, and T shines as nine.

A claims seven, with certainty and pride,
And O takes five, as the secrets reside.
Love Plus like equals hate, we now reveal,
The numbers converge, and their truth we unseal.

Now we discover, with clarity and grace,
The missing digit, its essence we embrace.
E takes the form of zero, the void it creates,
Completing the equation, as the truth navigates.

Love plus Like, an equation refined,
4560 + 4230, in harmony entwined.
Their sum yields Hate, a paradoxical decree,
As numbers unite, forming a tapestry.

In this poetic realm, the equation unfolds,
A tale of numbers, and the secrets it holds.
Love, Like, and Hate, emotions entwined,
Revealing the power of numbers, in answers we find.

Solve this equation using as few clues as possible.
