Hold the Hail Storm

Hold the Hail Storm

Learning leans heavily when Scripture speaks dear,
Questions cut through chatter, and truth isn’t clear.
Hearts must stay open, minds bend to perceive,
And pride pops opinions we’re quick to believe.

My husband reads nightly—lines and more lines,
No skipping, just reading, seeking God’s signs.
For two thousand years, the voices still call,
Strange turns and symbols—confusing to all.

We laugh at the culture—“Hold the hail storm!”
Yet deep in the riddles, a pattern takes form.
Commitment is costly, but wisdom will grow,
Although lacking context, God’s seeds will sow.
