Companion of the Muse
My dearest friend, companion of the muse.
Whose voice flows like a stream through blossoms twined,
A melody the heart cannot refuse
Through shaded groves and winding woodland views
With silken thread to guide each step with care.
Her words enchant, her stories still amuse—
And you, enraptured, breathing lighter air,
Will follow close, your burdens disappear.
Her hair—a silver crown beneath the sky.
With laurel set as though ’twas always there—
A quiet sign of vision held nearby.
Her gaze is steady, searching, deep, and shy—
A mind alive with grace and fervent prayer
She walks as if the muses linger nigh,
Then turns to us, with patient strength to spare,
And leads us gently to another world.
