From The Enchiridion of Poetic Grace: A Higher Welcome

A Higher Welcome

When feeds and followers drift away,
And someone else claims front-page light,
Rejoice that grace has found its way—
God’s love outshines the world’s delight.

You needn’t scan LinkedIn for those nods,
Or polish selfies for the crowd;
Christ delights in humble souls—applauds
Servant hearts, unbowed, unbowed.

He bids us welcome friend and foe,
Not for likes, nor for career;
Our worth He lifts beyond the show,
To give and love without a fear.

So lay aside the anxious chase,
Let mercy be your open door;
In humble service find your place—
You count in heaven evermore.
