In intervals of time, a ceremony unfolds.
The modern woman to her lover she holds,
a flight of fancy, a journey divine.
They will journey on, wherever they go.
With a heart of gold, and a silver wedding to bind.
They walk the beaten path, hand in hand.
In the city of Tampico, under stars so bright,
They dance together, chest to chest tight.
Yet beneath her smile, a frightened face,
Embracing each other, the ebb, the flow,
lost in the shadows of love’s embrace.
seeking permanence in a foreign land.
Their love painted in black and white,
A canvas of faith, in the darkest night.
A literary love, as timeless as the dawn,
The beauty of love is forever intertwined.
Yet tinged with alienation, a feeling withdrawn.
Yet in the light of love, they find a guiding ray.
Like Helen of Troy, she once did shine,
But now she bids farewell, a man’s way in time.
The cynic’s light dims, as love prevails,
The turn the road, they’ll always find,
in the council of hearts, passion never fails.
And with each turn of the road, they find their way.
