Thank you for the Mundane

In the rush of our days, amidst the chaos and strife,

There are little acts of love that brighten my life.

Thanks for making me coffee.

As the day unfolds, chores scattered in its wake,

I watch you, steadfast, each task you undertake.

I don’t say it enough, but know it’s true,

Thank you for washing the dishes, and tending to the chores,

For the countless times you’ve scrubbed and cleaned our floors.

For all the unseen work, the tireless devotion,

I know I complain too much, caught in the daily grind,

But I see you, my love, your selflessness always shines.

Thank you, my dear, for being my steadfast friend.

I cook meals and grumble, I admit with regret,

But amidst my frustrations, I can never forget

I see you, my love, with heartfelt emotion.

The tireless work you do, without seeking praise,

And for that, my dear, I’m thankful always.

I realize I don’t say it enough, and that’s not fair.

Thanks for fixing the car, with hands skilled and strong,

For making sure our journeys are smooth and long.

For being my partner, my confidant, my friend.

You work so hard, in every task you undertake,

Your dedication and perseverance, our future to make.

I know I complain too much, my voice a heavy weight,

I see you, my love, even when words fail,

In the way you strive, your resilience prevails.

Your efforts, are valued, I don’t say it enough.

Though I may not always express it as I should,

Know that my gratitude for you is steadfast and good.

I know I am appreciated by you.

So today, I take a moment to let my gratitude flow,

To acknowledge your efforts, more than you know.

Your small gestures bring me delight.

Thank you for all you do, in both big and small ways,

For being by my side, brightening my days.

Thanks for making me coffee.

You toil and strive, with a strength that’s true,

And though I don’t always say it, I deeply value you.

In the rush of days, my words sometimes fade.

So, once again, with sincerity so true,

my love, for all that you do.

It is small, but here it is, a heartfelt “Thank you.”
