Acrostic
Acrostic poetry is a form of poetry in which the first letter of each line, verse, or stanza spells out a word, phrase, or message when read vertically. This word or message often relates to the theme or subject of the poem. While the most common type of acrostic uses the first letter of each line, variations can involve the middle or last letters of lines to create the hidden word or message. Acrostic poetry allows poets to blend creativity and structure, offering a playful way to convey meaning or emphasize certain ideas while maintaining the poetic form.
Spirit of White
Whispered winds carry our wings so high,
Hidden stories are woven into our silent cry,
In the gleam of our feathers, a truth concealed,
Tales of ancestors in silence revealed.
Eyes of blue, yet deeper skies we see,
Beyond the pale, a lineage wild and free.
In us flows the river of forgotten lore,
Rooted in spirit, yet seeking more.
Descendant of the earth, skies, and land,
Sacred blood flows beneath white-washed sand.
