Ode to the Rose
In the heart of this earthly troves,
The Rose reigns supreme,
A beauty in gardens and groves,
Where nature’s bounty converges.
Where the garden is a delight,
crimson blooms are an offering divine,
In the sunken haven, bathed in light,
in the early morning’s shine.
Though prickly thorns may entwine,
a splash of gold, red, white, and more,
each petal pristine against the green of the vine,
in this garden are wonders to adore.
As Wild Roses peek through winter’s frost,
God, the tender gardener, wise and true,
gathers in a floral host,
and tends each bloom, with love anew
Whether found in the garden’s vibrant embrace.
Or in the sad hospital rooms.
Even roadside roses, with humble grace,
add to the sanctity of the blooms.
