Farewell Dear Cat

In life’s daily glow, soft, low,
A gentle soul I came to know.
With velvet paws and eyes so bright,
You filled my days with pure delight.
Oh, whiskered friend, full of grace,
You left your mark in this brief space.
In silent moments love found its way,
A bond that words can never say.

Now the time has come to part,
And sorrow wells within my heart.
We shared a love, however brief,
That brought us joy and sweet relief.
Through playful pounces, gentle purrs,
My heart found peace and warmth in yours.
Yet life, unkind, has claimed its toll,
Leaving an ache within my soul.

Though our journey was far too fleet,
Your memory I’ll always keep.
With heavy heart, I say goodbye,
With misty eyes and quiet sighs.
Though you’re gone, your spirit’s near,
In every sound I hear that’s unclear.
Farewell, I say, dear cat, on this sad day,
Your memory will ever brighten my way.
