Dawn’s Heart of Glass

Dawn’s Heart of Glass

A burning dawn reflected in a mirror,
waxed petals set in quiet, colored squares,
tremble with holy light as I, a wanderer,
walk solar beams through sky-draped shades and airs.

I wander in the sky’s own heart of glass;
the meadow’s shadows fall in solar peace.
Soft tales unfold across the valleys’ pass
and rest in half-light where the hills release.

Manioc leaves, gold-trembling in the sun,
bend low with honeyed sorrow, gathering.
Serene and faithful, morning climbs each run
of tall, bright hills where my voice rings.

Waxed flame in peace, through shadow I am drawn,
on colored heights, still wandering with the dawn.
