Is love, then, so simple, this tender flow,
I know a poem, a prayer, where hearts go,
to dance, I know a song,
Too soon, we find our souls entwined,
The lightest feet dance to an old tune, unkind,
in the night so long,
Look not to me for wisdom, I once declared,
I thought joy went by me, a soul-impaired,
I must confess,
love’s sweet magic is like stringing stars like pearls,
where love is king, as life, dances, twirls, and whirls,
trying to exist.
By the web of Eros, we are caught,
The crowning gift, by love we’re taught,
under the midnight sky,
Loving wholly beyond wisdom’s chart,
Glimpses of eternity, we share, hearts apart,
where hearts dare to fly.
Out a window, our souls take flight,
In cold tombs, we find no light.
a fragile thread,
Life’s tapestry weaves, a story of doom,
In loves embrace, we dispel all gloom.
In love we are led.
Loving wholly beyond wisdom’s reach,
In the death chambers, our souls breach,
so simple, yet profound,
Glimpses, out a window, hearts entwine,
At cold tombs, where love’s light does shine,
Loves echo is found.
