Be Not Of This World

Be wary, dear friends, of the company you keep,
Their sway on your soul runs silent but deep.
Each bond you form is a ship that can steer,
making your morals, and ethics unclear.

The right companions will challenge and guide,
Drawing forth virtues that dwell deep inside.
But in their absence, temptation may rise,
Luring your spirit with treacherous lies.

Let not your path merge with those led astray,
Who neglect the truth of God’s sovereign way.
Though we walk this earth, let hearts remain free,
As Christ has commanded, be not as they be.

The lost are not to be shunned or denied,
But living their ways leaves virtue defied.
Dark whispers of sin may silently creep,
Threatening values you’re called to keep.

Your purpose, a beacon, a light on the hill,
To show them His love and the power of His will.
Seek strength in the Lord, His wisdom and grace,
To guide wandering souls to see our Lord’s face.

Choose well your companions, and keep them in prayer
Let your presence reflect God’s love everywhere.
For in lives entwined, your impact is shown—
Through God’s light in you, His love will be known.
