For three years, until I became ill this year and needed an emergency operation, I wrote a poem everyday. Full disclosure If I missed a day I wrote two or more the next day. What came of this was what I call “market poetry” Writing just for the sake of writing. This involved short form more frequently that I would have liked. This short form also often involved thought poems like the one above, where I turned a thought into a poem. I like this poem for its humor which in my oppinion is the only thing that saved it. Otherwise I despise my poems that reflect little soul. I keep them accessible to people because someone might like it. On occasion I find one or two I like as well.
