Write Mind Free
For three years I wrote dutifully
for three years, now what has become of me?
Mindfully Mindness, Madless?
Of too much complexity.
I live, not live to write,
but live! — mind free.
I wrote daily for three years. This started as a one-year challenge. I redefined the rules, if I missed a day or even two, I would write more so on the next. I successfully did this for the first two years, then in the third year I counted editing as writing. So, it became writing or editing everyday or double for any days skipped. Then, do to emergency medical operations, I missed a month (mental exhaustion as well since travel and hospitalization was included during this time). I then resumed writing and editing, which brings me to now. In addition to poems, I write about the poems and techniques. I hope that I will not have to take more time off. Do to myalgic encephalomyelitis, A rare disorder likely caused by gene mutation during covid, my ability to do anything physical (even standing) all I have left is my mind.
