Board with Nature

Board with Nature

This board was once a tree
That grew just for me.
To become me—
Bored naturally.

An owl lived in that tree, too.
Now, Board—who is left with hoo?

I try to think on nature—that owl, that tree—
Stuck inside the floorboards, I only think of me—
Bored—naturally.
