A skeptic, a questioning mind—
to live as an atheist—is it to embrace
that nothing birthed all in this space,
Seeking truth that we may finally find:
That from the void, life emerged by chance,
Can I truly hold such a view,
That nothingness birthed all that we construe,
and chaos sculpted order in its dance?
To believe that non-life spawned vibrant breath—
to have faith in a cosmos with no guiding hand
without purpose or design, I fail to understand;
to accept randomness as life’s sacred depth.
To believe that nothing brought forth all we see,
to trust chaos wove precision’s intricate thread
Is a leap of faith I struggle to tread;
I find that faith cannot sustain me.
In an origin tale where mysteries wait.
to live as an atheist, I would have to believe
that nothing produced everything! I perceive
to be an atheist, I’d need boundless faith.
