In the depths, we roam,
Seeking love in a transient home.
Let our hearts be drawn to higher things,
To the Lord where true joy sings.
Materialism’s allure—a fool’s charade,
A hollow quest where riches fade.
Yet God’s perfect will, a glorious treasure,
is love divine, a boundless measure.
In earthly pleasures, we can delight;
Love for family, hearts shining bright.
But let our first love be for our Lord;
in His embrace our souls are restored.
Spiritual pursuits that are without His praise,
Reveal the fallen nature’s wicked ways.
To reject redemption, love’s sweet call,
is to cling to sin, and let darkness fall.
But fear not, for God has shown His grace,
Through Jesus, His Son, our divine embrace.
A gift of forgiveness, holiness He brings;
The Holy Spirit within gives our hearts wings.
