Last Train

DEPARTURE
The platform holds yesterday’s footsteps.
l i g h t
becomes
t i m e
Through the station glass
a thousand unfinished journeys
wait beneath one illuminated clock.
11:59
The train carries everyone

forward.
The reflection stays behind.

lumenoscript combines photographic imagery and poetic language. Research on his visual poetry describes the interaction of photographic layers, invented verbal expressions, and visual composition.

I built the image in my virtual world Multiverse Masters in 2020, I then took a screen shot of the 3D train station and modulated the light and intensity. This is more prevalent in the colored version. Adding text finishes the project. The poem connects time, movement, and memory. Its visual composition suggests how text might occupy a photograph of a railway station. In my example the station glass and clock was out of view of the shot.

To create this form, photograph a recognizable scene, such as a railroad station, highway, diner, or city intersection. Identify three important visual elements. Write a short poem that interacts with those elements, then position the text within the photograph. Experiment with transparency, scale, and photographic layering so that language and image become a single composition.

This form shares characteristics with Fluxus-inspired experimentation, visual poetry, Falling Wall, and my altered-object photographic work.
