Lost poems recovered 30 years plus later.

There are benefits to AI. Codex just recovered a corrupted document from over 30 years ago, I have tried for three decades to find software to recover the document with no success. But I still saved the unopenable document because I knew it held poems from my teenage years, I am sure I was 15 and the poem titled eighteen was in forward thinking as I dedicated these to Terri, a girl I met in group Therapy that also was a writer. She hid me until the state took me in at age 16. TERRI was what I titled the document. I included them here without corrective edits.

                          THE REST OF ME
I sense a shadow in seduction of my mind .
A calling from so low ,
         something i thought i left behind ,
and she's glaring through my own eyes .
Somebody has totalled the spirit ,
sliced the dreams to ribbons .
No one close enough to hear it ,
not an echo of my shattered scream .
That is until it was just to late .
Until both she and i learned to hate ,
             and to hide .
      You witness the pain
Anger swelling like a sea .
You see the child stunted ,
the hostile stranger no one could find .
Hurting , crying for an answer .
To spray love like a rainbow across an open heart ,
         like a tomb .
You hear the voice without a sound
that cries in the night so no one can see .
It haunts and echoes through closet corners .
      I view a lonesome cross ,
a bloody crown of thorns for a king .
      A vision tattered and torn
Under a conviction not proven .
      Lord is that you ?
Let me go - free me from myself .
Let me become as i dream .
Life is hard , being afraid and fallen .
for me , a victim lost and found .
I dream for tomorrow as the sun will shine
and melt the ice to tears .

                       EIGHTEEN
 Do you take my dreams
        though i cling to them
like a mother to her only child ?
 Do you invade my mind
and push a way all positive
                  hope needed to grow ?
Do you take my life line
        turning and changing the
paths i seek to suit you ?
 All this has been attempted
        but you underestimate ,
                but you deny reality .
While i struggle on and on
        inside myself to grow into
some one i can be proud of -
You watch and count every stumble
                        to remind me of .
You see me fall and nod your head .
calling it proof of your will .
But you never notice when i
            pick myself up once more
and move on slowly every time .
Between the two of us ,
i am more me than you are you .
I will go on - I will become
                  I will succeed .

                       SILENCE
Our words floated down , As flower petals will ,
swept away into ponds of oblivion .
A stream of changes stole our truth -
turning it to all i couldn't hide .
I took your time for a while
just to have some one hear me .
Been to long to mourn now .
Faded hurts blind you to me .
Your smooth smiles warm my conscience
As sunshine will to drenched blossoms .
I tried to weave a dream -
I pulled it to peices in moments
despite your tears and gentle protests .
All the words i should have said -
The tears i should have cried .
I find no smile on your face now
Your eyes burn with flame founded
in sour dreams .
Deep behind my life - I never loved you .
Don't ever stop to remember
Though you wonder who you held .
If you asked me now
I couldn't tell .
